PHOTOGRAPHY
For every wedding, big or small, LSP provides a Wedding Day Prep Guide that includes check lists of all the details you will want to pack in a box for your photographer in advance. Before we begin our process with the bride and groom, LSP will collect your wedding day detail box so we can style and photograph them in advance of your getting ready shots. We will always work this extra hour into your timeline.
The Invitation Suite
We know you put a lot of thought, time, and money into your invitation suite, so getting these images perfect is always a huge priority. Each detail on your invitation suite sets the tone for your guests from the moment they receive it and culminates at your ceremony and reception through your colour palette and style. Photographing your invitation suite takes time at the beginning of your big day. These pieces should be included in the details box you give to your photographer. A great way you can help your wedding photographer is to request additional blooms and foliage from your florist for your detail shots. You can also pick up silk ribbons that match your colour palette to help accent your ring boxes. Don’t have ring boxes? No problem! Etsy, Belle Box Boutique and Mrs. Box are great places to begin. Once you have these pieces in tow, be sure to add them to your details box for the photographer.
Your Details
LSP arrives at each wedding with an arsenal of styling items like mats, dishes, trays, and plain ring boxes, but we love when you provide us with your own personalized pieces we can incorporate. Hint hint: Ring boxes that match your colour palette earn brownie points! If you are sharing your own vows, we recommend having a set of vow books made rather than having them saved on your phone or a post it note. Yep, we’ve seen it all! Not only do vow books make for better photos at your ceremony, you can keep them for a lifetime with your wedding photo album. They also look amazing in your detail shots!
Getting Ready
These images are exactly as they sound. Our goal is to capture the authentic and emotional responses that the bride and groom have at the beginning of their big day. For the bride, some of our favourite shots include you putting on your shoes, holding your dress with your hair & makeup done, mom buttoning your dress, and dad’s first look at you ready for your day. For the groom, we love to see him tying his bowtie, lacing up his shoes, sharing a laugh and a hug with his best man and father, and doing up his cufflinks.
