Included in every session booking is a complete guide that goes through everything you need to know beforehand. But today we are sharing the best 7 tips for picking your outfit, because you know what? It can be confusing! However it doesn’t have to be, and here’s how!

  1. First and foremost, wear something that showcases your personality & style as well as your figure. I want you to feel fabulous and have fun during our shoot!
  2. Choose outfits that compliment each other but aren’t “matchy-matchy.”
  3. Avoid intense patterns and logos, those can be very distracting!
  4. Try to include a statement choice, what does this mean? Doing a barefoot beach walk, a fabulous vintage bike, a cute hat, heck bring a whole picnic! This statement choice will add a theme, create a sense of story, and really make your photos unique and fun.
  5. Bring a second outfit, if time allows. I love when couples bring a casual outfit to finish off the session is for a more intimate cozy moment.
  6. Colour recommendations! This is a common question and it depends on the season but a good rule of thumb is to stick to soft and neutral tones that suit your skin tone! Rust, olive, white, cream, tan, blush, black, grey, mustard, blue!
  7. And if you’re still not sure, theres Pinterest. I myself am visual, and seeing others combine colours and outfits gives me a better understanding of how it all comes together.
